- Apr 117:00 PMJubilation & ReverieCelebrate the final concert of the season with the FAU Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Dr. Laura Joella. This concert will feature a suite of dances from one of the most popular and romantic ballets, Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake, paired with Chabrier’s playful Joyeuse Marche. FAU’s own Kyle Mechmet will be the featured soloist in the British masterwork, Saxophone Concerto in B-flat Major, by Holbrooke. The FAU Women’s Chorus, conducted by Dr. Stacie Rossow will join the FAUSO in a haunting performance of Marie-Claire Saindon’s Méditations de la Vierge Marie.

- Apr 129:00 AM22nd Annual Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College Scholarly & Creative Research SymposiumCome join us for our annual research Symposium, hosted by the Wilkes Honors College at FAU Jupiter! Starting at 9 AM, students will introduce their current research projects in the oral presentation portion of the day. Afterwards, we will have keynote speaker Julio Ramirez, PhD -- a R. Stuart Dickson Professor and Director of the Neuroscience Program at Davidson College – to deliver a speech about his research in the recovery of function after central system injury, with an emphasis on determining the functional significance of hippocampal neuroplasticity.After Dr. Ramirez’s speech, we will have a short break followed by our student’s art and poster presentation from 2 PM to 4 PM. Refreshments will be served.
- Apr 1210:00 AMAmericans at War WWII and the Holocaust ExhibitFlorida Atlantic University Libraries, Special Collections is displaying Americans at War: WWII and the Holocaust. When war was declared in 1941, sixteen million Americans responded to Uncle Sam’s call and served in the U.S. Army, Navy, Marines, and Army Air Forces. From pre-war antisemitism to the surrender of the Axis Powers, this exhibition will narrate the war and devastation through photographs, letters, war documents, and ephemera.The exhibition will be open from 10 am to 2 pm on Tuesdays to Thursdays.The exhibition run dates Tuesday, March 5 – Thursday, April 25
