    National Blood Donor Month in January is a time to recognize blood donors and encourage more people to donate. It's also a time to raise awareness about the importance of blood donations, especially during the winter months.
    Why is January National Blood Donor Month?

    Blood shortages: Winter months are often a time of reduced donations and an increased risk for blood shortages.

    Critical need: Every two seconds in the United States, someone needs blood.

    Lifesaving: Blood donations can save lives for people with serious injuries, surgeries, childbirth, blood disorders, and more.
