OIT System Maintenance
Office of Information Technology will be performing routine systems maintenance which includes but is not limited to rebooting Windows servers as deemed necessary, installing critical patches and other health checks on 9/17/2024 – 9/21/2024 from 12:01 AM to 7:00 AM during OIT maintenance window. In addition, the following systems will be specifically impacted:
Server maintenance
Description of change: OIT will be performing server maintenance on 9-18 at 11:00pm-12:00am affecting Sunapsis.
Downtime window start: 09/18/2024 11:00 PM
Downtime window end: 09/19/2024 12:00 AM
Affected services: Sunapsis
End-user impact: Sunapsis will be unavailable during this time.
Server Maintenance
Description of change: OIT will be performing server maintenance on 9-18 at 11:00pm-12:00am affecting Assessment, Crosswalk, Grademan, Software license order page, Techfee, and Transient.
Downtime window start: 09/18/2024 11:00 PM
Downtime window end: 09/18/2024 11:30 PM
Affected services: Assessment, Crosswalk, Grademan, Software license order page, Techfee, and Transient
End-user impact: No end-user impact is expected since these are incremental security updates.
Server Migration
Description of change: OIT will be migrating several virtual machines to new hardware.
Downtime window start: 09/19/2024 4:00 AM
Downtime window end: 09/19/2024 6:00 AM
Affected services: DHCP, Internal DNS, Tatooine (EDUROAM RADIUS Server), Grouper2 (Group Management App Server)
End-user impact: The impacted services will be unavailable during the window, however no end-user impact is expected as these are secondary servers.
Network Maintenance
Description of change: OIT will be performing network maintenance affecting all campuses from 12:00 a.m. until 3:00 a.m. on Saturday September 21st. During this time, all FAU campuses will experience short outages impacting connectivity to services and the internet.

Downtime window end: 09/21/2024 3:00 AM
Affected services: All services will be impacted briefly. Some services that do not handle network disruptions may need to be restarted.
End-user impact: All campuses will experience brief outages during the maintenance window affecting connectivity to all services

- RESOLVED – Banner Services OutageAll services have been restored in production. We are currently experiencing a Banner outage. Services such as Admin, Registration and other Banner services are not operational. We are investigating the issue now, and restoring services as quickly as possible.
