Fall 2024 Body Project Sessions Open!
The Body Project, Florida Atlantic’s body acceptance program is now open for registration! This free, proven 5-hour program empowers women to:
- Resist cultural pressures to accept the appearance ideal
- Reallocate your valuable time to something other than striving for an unrealistic body
- Increase confidence and body satisfaction
- Bond with other like-minded students
What’s fun about The Body Project? Jam-packed gift baskets (including a voucher to the food court and a t-shirt) after the 2nd session and fostering new friendships. The sessions are broken up into two 2.5-hour sessions, held one week apart. You will be part of a small group of women discussing the appearance ideal and how to fight back against it. Please be aware that we will be referring to unrealistic ideals for women, however the basic information learned is applicable to all.
If you would like to register, please follow this link: https://owlscare.fau.edu/
Sessions will be held on the following dates:
Class A
Wed, Oct 2 + Oct 9
Starts at 5:30 PM
Class B
