Active Threat Awareness and Training Sessions
The Florida Atlantic Police Department and Department of Emergency Management will host
Active Threat Awareness and Training sessions on Friday, Aug. 15, at 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m., and 12 p.m., in the Barry Kaye Auditorium (Student Union) on the Boca Raton campus.
No RSVP is required. The sessions are open to all students, faculty and staff.
The awareness and training session provides a foundational overview of active threat incidents, including key trends, terminology and real-world context. It highlights proactive measures Florida Atlantic has implemented to enhance campus safety and preparedness and concludes with practical guidance on individual response options.
