The Women's Club Softball team will be holding tryouts for the upcoming season!  Tryouts will be Sunday Sepetmber 7th, Monday September 8th, and Tuesday September 9th! Get the scoop!  My name is Tori, the president of Owl Film- this is an introduction article to the club that I'm super excited to introduce! Owl Film is a new film club that just watches film and have fun discussions after wards! Good day! If you're reading this, you're likely a member of the Chess Club at Florida Atlantic. This is a reminder that last Wednesday, on the 20th, at 5 PM, we had our first chess club meeting. We had a very nice turnout for our first meeting, where we introduced our plans for further club development and the acquisition of necessary materials, which should be nearly fully settled! We also showed a game review of one of the most famous games in historical chess, the game of the century between Bobby Fischer and Donald Byrne, where at just 13 years old, Fisher beat the very accomplished US representative at multiple world chess olympiads, Donald Byrne. Next Wednesday, we plan to host many in-person games, along with some puzzle solving.

Hi everyone!! Our next event is Meet the Execs!   Come get to know you’re exec board at our next general meeting on August 27th at 6:30 pm! We will be hosting in the Student Union (Grand Palm 2&4)! Can’t wait to see you all there!!! Bring your friends, a smile and good vibes as we go out and enjoy everything that AMWA has to offer this semester .
