Franskousky Named Senior Associate AD for Compliance
BOCA RATON, Fla. -- Florida Atlantic University Vice President and Director of Athletics Brian White has announced the hiring of Garrett Franskousky to the position of senior associate athletics director for compliance.
Franskousky joins the Owls from Vanderbilt University where he served the last three years as director of compliance. In his role at FAU, Franskousky is responsible for the monitoring, education and enforcement efforts within the compliance department. He will oversee the department, serve on the athletics executive staff and have sport supervision responsibility.
"I am thrilled to welcome Garrett to Florida Atlantic," said White. "College athletics is evolving rapidly, and this position on our executive staff is vital to our continued success. Garrett has an impressive resume and all the tools necessary to be a significant asset to the FAU staff, our coaches and our student-athletes."
At Vanderbilt since July 2022, Franskousky served as the primary compliance contact for rules education programming with coaches, administrators and representatives of athletics interest, while also managing all NCAA legislative relief waivers and extensions of eligibility requests.
"I am thrilled to return home to Boca Raton and join Brian White's staff at Florida Atlantic University," said Franskousky. "Our compliance team will work tirelessly with our administrators, coaches and student-athletes to advance his vision of winning in paradise."
Franskousky began his career in collegiate athletics as assistant director of compliance at Marshall University in August 2019 before a promotion to director of compliance in July 2021.
Born and raised in Boca Raton, Franskousky earned a bachelor of science in finance and sport management from Florida State University in 2016. He completed a law degree from the University of Miami in 2019, graduating cum laude from each institution. He was admitted to practice law in the state of Florida in 2019.
