Florida Atlantic University will celebrate “Homecoming: Ride the Wave” beginning Thursday, Oct. 12 through Saturday, Oct. 21.
Florida Atlantic University will celebrate “Homecoming: Ride the Wave” beginning Thursday, Oct. 12 through Saturday, Oct. 21. All events, except for Owl Manor (as noted below), are open to all FAU students, faculty and staff.
The following events will take place at FAU’s Boca Raton campus, 777 Glades Road:
Homecoming Hype-up
Thursday, Oct. 12, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Campus Recreation Lawn
Celebrate the start of Homecoming with tie dye and engage in other free activities. _________________________________________________________________________________________________
Annual Owl Manor
Friday, Oct. 13, doors open at 7 p.m., show begins at 8 p.m.
Carole and Barry Kaye Performing Arts Auditorium
Open to FAU students only, 18+, must show valid state identification

Saturday, Oct. 14, departing at 8:30 a.m. from FAU seal in front of Student Union
Event lasts from 9 a.m. until noon, with lunch after in Live Oak A
Join in a Pine Jog service project, with transportation provided to and from the event, and lunch offered afterward.

Come out to the Student Union to meet the students campaigning for the Homecoming court and get ready to cast your vote.

FAU Celebrates 50 Years of Hip-hop
Monday, Oct. 16, from 7 to 9 p.m.
Live Oak, Student Union
Learn about the impact of hip-hop music over the past 50 years at this interactive experience. There will be great music and dancing, and food will be provided.

Wave Rider
Tuesday, Oct. 17, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
BBQ & Housing Lawn
Ride the wave of Homecoming with huge water slides and inflatable water volleyball. There will be music, food and free Homecoming items.

Cooler Cool Down
Wednesday, Oct. 18, from 10 a.m. to noon
Palms, Student Union
A crafting event where students can paint and decorate their very own 9-quart coolers. These will come in handy for a beach day or for the Homecoming football pregame.

Hoot & Holler
Wednesday, Oct. 18, beginning at 8 p.m.
Carole and Barry Kaye Performing Arts Auditorium
An interactive music gameshow where students can play hits from different genres and win prizes. Students will be called to the stage, partner with one of the DJs, and try to win over the crowd with their song choice.

Pool Party with Plushies
Thursday, Oct. 19, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Campus Recreation Pool
The Homecoming tradition of building your own plushie by the pool continues. There will be music and food provided.

Party in Paradise, featuring the Annual Stroll-off
Friday, Oct. 20, from 5 to 8 p.m.
BBQ, HPT, Housing and Diversity Lawn
Party in Paradise kicks off the Homecoming game weekend with a barbecue, food and giveaways, and a spirit station to gear up for the game. At 6:30 p.m., the annual Homecoming stroll-off will begin, featuring performances by the National Panhellenic Council and the United Greek Council.

FAU Football vs. UTSA and Tailgate in Paradise
Saturday, Oct. 21 – Kickoff time and tailgate location TBA
Ahead of the Owls’ Homecoming matchup against the UTSA Roadrunners at FAU Stadium, enjoy tailgating leading up to kickoff – and be sure to wear red FAU gear for the theme of the game.

Boca Beach Day
Sunday, Oct. 15, from 1 to 3 p.m.
Celebrate Homecoming and close out Hispanic Heritage Month with a beach party. There will be a DJ, food and games.
