For the fifth consecutive year, Florida Atlantic University’s A.D. Henderson University School (ADHUS) has been named by the Florida Department of Education as a “School of Excellence.”

ADHUS earned 96 percent of the total possible points at the completion of the 2022-23 school year (up from 89 percent in 2022), along with a final percentile rank of 99.6. It has been ranked in the 99th percentile at the end of each of the last three school years taken into account by the State Board of Education.

“This prestigious designation underscores our schools’ commitment to academic excellence and student success,” said Joel Herbst, Ed.D, superintendent of PK-12 schools at FAU. “Thank you to our incredible faculty, staff and families for their unwavering dedication to excellence.”

This program was created by the Florida Legislature in 2017. The State Board designates a school as a School of Excellence if the school’s percentage of possible points earned in its school grade calculation is in the 80th percentile or higher for schools comprised of the same grade groupings (elementary, middle, high and combination) for at least two of the last three school years. ADHUS has been recognized amongst the combination schools.
