The purpose of this budgeting event is to teach college students essential financial skills that will help them manage their money effectively. Attendees will learn the basics of budgeting including how to prioritize needs over wants, allocate funds effectively, and build savings habits. The event will include a presentation on budgeting tips, followed by a group activity where participants create budgets using a set given amount of Ethel Bucks and expense scenarios. A competition will allow groups to present their designed budgets, with prizes awarded to those who best apply the tips from the presentation. This event aims to provide students with practical tools to take control of their finances.
